This is where you can learn all sorts of information about the contributors to this fantastic Blog
Chloe DeLuca (Editor) –
Chloe is a UT graduate student of Journalism and Electronic Media, song reviewer for a music therapy technology company called SingFit, and editor of WUTK’s Blog of the Rock. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English and a passion for music, aspiring to wear many hats in the music industry. Chloe is a transplant from California and a seeker of new adventures across the country. She’s traveled to 31 of the 50 states and will soon visit many more. Her idea of the perfect day is sleeping in till noon, going for a run with her Pomeranian dog, Auggie, before meeting up with friends and catching a rock show on Market Square. Ask her about that time she partied at Chester Bennington’s house.
Zeke Streetman (writer and weirdo) –
Zeke Streetman is a Philosophy/Political Science major at the University of Tennessee. He also is a part of the music department at WUTK, and thus is on the radio during top of the rock on Sundays. You can also hear him on the radio from two to four on Mondays. In the past he was a writer for the defunct UT tangerine (the local satirical news paper), but now he brings his wit and brevity to the airwaves and wifi-waves. He aspires to one day work as a canoe captain in the Greek islands, or work at Adult Swim of Cartoon Network fame (either would be nice really).
Mason Mulkey (Writer and Host of Simmer Down) –
Mason Mulkey is a University of Tennessee, Knoxville alumni with a bachelors in history/geography. He currently attends Lincoln Memorial University to get a masters degree in education, but plans to return to his alma mater soon to acquire a Ph.d in education. Major goal is to hold a position at a university teaching future educators. Got into the station through volunteering during his senior year, and stuck around to co-host The Buzzlist, and now as a full host on Simmer Down, every Sunday night from 8 to 10pm. Got into reggae and world music through a syndicated radio show called “Hearts of Space.” His favorite reggae song would be Toots and The Maytals cover of a John Denver song called “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” His favorite world music song is “Amanke Dionti” by Abalye Cissoko and Volker Goetze. You can catch him in the wild at reggae shows in town, and also blaring reggae music in his car, just look for a Los Angeles Dodger hat.
